Infrastructure company G R Infraprojects Ltd on Thursday (March 13) said it has been selected as the winning bidder for the Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Road project, tendered by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) under the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.

“…we are pleased to inform you that our Company has emerged as selected bidder in the Financial Bid Opening dated 13th March 2025 for the following tender invited by the National Highways Authority of India (Ministry of Road, Transport & Highways) (Government of India),” GR Infraprojects said in a regulatory filing.

The project, awarded under the Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) model at BOT (Toll) mode, is valued at ₹4,262.78 crore. The scope of work includes developing a six-lane, access-controlled greenfield highway from Deori village in Agra to Susera village in Gwalior, covering Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.

Additionally, it involves overlaying, strengthening, and safety improvements on the existing Agra-Gwalior section of NH-44. The project has a completion timeline of 910 days from the appointed date.

GR Infraprojects reported a 7.8% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit at ₹261.7 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2024. In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year, GR Infraprojects posted a net profit of ₹242.7 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The company’s revenue from operations fell 20.6% to ₹1,694.5 crore as against ₹2,134 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal year. At the operating level, EBITDA tanked 27.1% to ₹369.8 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal year from ₹507.6 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal year.

Shares of GR Infraprojects Ltd ended at ₹961.80, down by ₹29.45, or 2.97%, on the BSE.
