Ranbir Kapoor, who is known for his minimal social media presence, has finally addressed the speculation about his secret Instagram account. While he doesn’t have a public profile, his wife, Alia Bhatt, has previously revealed that he maintains a private account. The actor, however, made his first Instagram appearance on his birthday through his brand account, ARKS.
In a recent interview with Mashable India, Ranbir responded to one of the most Googled questions about his secret social media presence. He admitted, “See, but the thing is, I don’t post, and I have no followers. So what’s the point? I just have a handle so I can follow, but other than that, I have nothing. So there’s no point. But never say never, you know. I could make my account public, but as of right now, I’m okay. I’m doing decently without social media. But like I said, never say never.”
During the conversation, Ranbir also hinted at getting a tattoo in the future. He said, “None yet, hopefully soon. The 8th or something, I don’t know, maybe my children’s names, I don’t know.”
Ranbir has always considered the number 8 to be lucky, as it is associated with his mother, Neetu Kapoor, whose birthday falls on July 8. His love for the number is evident in various aspects of his life, including his car plates, football jerseys, and even Alia Bhatt’s wedding jewelry, kaleeras, and mangalsutra.
The actor also recalled his first paycheck, which he received while assisting on the film Prem Granth. Sharing the memory, he said, “My first paycheck was Rs 250, which I got while assisting on Prem Granth. Like a good boy, I went to my mother’s room and put it at her feet. She looked at it, started crying, and it was one of those filmy moments that I performed.”
