Wanting to mend the rift, she eventually accepted Rani as her daughter-in-law. A family source revealed that Aditya returned home because of his mother’s insistence, though tensions still lingered. He reportedly made it clear that he would move back only if his parents did not interfere in his personal life.
From friendship to love
After Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Aditya Chopra gained recognition as an independent director. Rani once met him at Mumbai’s Sampan Hotel but did not approach him for a role, which caught his attention. Impressed by her work, Aditya later recommended her to Karan Johar for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
