Khushi Kapoor expresses her wish to star in a horror film amidst trolls over 'Nadaaniyan' with Ibrahim Ali Khan: 'Something darker...'

Ibrahim Ali Khan stepped into Bollywood with his debut film ‘Nadaaniyan’ earlier this month, but the OTT release failed to impress many movie lovers due to its plot and experimentation with a new kind of romantic comedy. Now, actress Khushi Kapoor has expressed her desire to star in a horror-themed film amidst the ongoing trolling and criticism surrounding ‘Nadaaniyan’.
In a recent conversation with Grazia India, Khushi shared, “I’ve always been curious to see what the process of a thriller-horror movie would look like—maybe not completely horror, but something a bit darker than the films I’ve done so far. It would be interesting to explore a slightly darker film. I enjoy performing dramatic and emotional scenes, so I think it would be exciting to take on a film that leans more heavily on those kinds of notes.”

Following severe criticism online, producer Karan Johar hit back at critics who used aggressive language in their reviews. During the trailer launch of Gippy Grewal’s film Akaal, Karan stated, “A critic wrote, ‘I want to kick this film’. I have major issues with these people. I have no issues with the industry, trolls, opinion makers, or social commentary—I happily accept people’s opinions.” He further added that such reviews reflect the behaviour of the critic and do not affect the actors.
Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan’s mother, Pinkie Roshan, also gave a thumbs down to the film by agreeing with a social media user’s review about the Ibrahim Ali Khan starrer’s loose, superficial plot.
Before ‘Nadaaniyan’, Khushi was seen alongside Junaid Khan in ‘Loveyapa’, which also faced similar criticism from audiences and fans.
