Apple has just launched its most affordable model in the iPhone 16 lineup — the iPhone 16e.

The device features the A18 chip, a new Apple-designed cellular modem (C1), and a 48MP Fusion camera system.

The iPhone 16e offers improved battery life, lasting up to six hours longer than the iPhone 11 and twelve hours longer than all generations of the iPhone SE. It supports satellite features for emergency communication, including Messages, Emergency SOS, and Roadside Assistance when outside cellular coverage.

The device will be available in matte black and white finishes, with pre-orders starting on February 21 and availability from February 28. The iPhone 16e has a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display, is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance, and includes Face ID for secure unlocking.

The A18 chip provides enhanced performance, with a 6-core CPU and 4-core GPU, enabling efficient handling of tasks and improved graphics for mobile gaming. The iPhone 16e also supports iOS 18, which includes various customisation options and privacy protections.

The device will be available in 59 countries and regions, including India, the United States, Canada, and several European and Asian countries. Users will have the option to update their primary iPhone language to several Indian languages starting in April.
