Having visited Vantara myself, I echo the sentiments of PM @narendramodi; the level of care and expertise that Anant Ambani has put together at Vantara is truly impressive and cutting-edge.

Vantara was inaugurated in 2024 during the wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Spread across nearly 3,000 acres, the facility is dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of hundreds of animal species.
Officially named the Vantara Animal Rehabilitation Centre, also known as Animal Sevalaya, it is a one-of-a-kind initiative spearheaded by Anant Ambani, a known animal lover.

Unlike traditional zoological parks, Vantara is not a zoo or a museum but a zoological service centre where rescued animals receive medical care and rehabilitation. Once they recover, they are reintroduced into their natural habitats.
Meanwhile, Mahindra wrote, “It is heartening to see animals that have experienced such misfortune find a safe and nurturing home.”
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi had shared his experience at Vantara on X, recalling encounters with rescued elephants. “At Vantara, I saw an elephant which was the victim of an acid attack. The elephant was being treated with utmost care. There were other elephants too, which were blinded and that too ironically by their Mahout,” he wrote.
“Another elephant was hit by a speeding truck. This underscores an important question – how can people be so careless and cruel? Let us put an end to such irresponsibility and focus on kindness towards animals,” PM Modi added.
