All you need to know about Australian all-rounder Cooper Connolly: Will he be the X-factor against India?

Cooper Connolly, 23, has been drafted into the Australian team as a replacement for Matthew Short in the playing XI for the semi-final against India in Dubai. Though he had an off day with the bat, getting dismissed in the opening spell to Mohammed Shami, Connolly’s importance actually rests in bowling for the Steven Smith-led side.

Connolly has played for the Australian U-19 setup, and also represents Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League (BBL).
