Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava fails to beat Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 box office record

The box office battle in Bollywood continues to be fierce, with Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava putting up an impressive performance but narrowly missing the milestone set by Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2. After 30 days in theaters, Chhaava’s Hindi version amassed a staggering Rs 541.55 crore, falling just short of Stree 2’s rs 542.7 crore in the same period. While both films have delivered outstanding numbers, the slight edge in collections ensures that Stree 2 remains ahead in this particular race.

Despite not surpassing Stree 2, Chhaava has firmly established itself as a box office winner, reinforcing Vicky Kaushal’s rising stature as a bankable star. The film’s compelling storytelling, grand visuals, and Kaushal’s powerful performance have been widely appreciated, drawing in audiences across multiplexes and single screens alike. The movie, based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, resonated strongly with audiences, particularly in Maharashtra, where it saw record-breaking collections.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan continues to hold its position as a Bollywood juggernaut, having earned Rs 561.13 crore in Hindi alone in 30 days. The action-packed spectacle, directed by Atlee, proved to be a pan-India sensation, further cementing Khan’s dominance at the box office.
However, the ultimate winner among recent releases remains Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, which has set an unprecedented benchmark with a massive Rs 781.3 crore collection in 30 days in Hindi. The sequel to Pushpa: The Rise not only reaffirmed Arjun’s superstardom but also demonstrated the immense potential of Telugu cinema on a national and global scale. The film’s gripping narrative, stylish action sequences, and chartbuster soundtrack contributed significantly to its record-breaking success.
The battle for box office supremacy remains unpredictable, with every major release adding a new twist to the story. With upcoming blockbusters lined up for the year, it remains to be seen which film will next shatter records and redefine Bollywood’s financial landscape.
Chhaava directed by Laxman Utekar also featured stellar performances by Akshaye Khanna ,Rashmika Mandanna , Ashutosh Rana and Viineet Kumar Singh.
