At the Dastkar Bazaar, over 110 artisans from 18 Indian states come together to showcase the beauty and diversity of India’s craftsmanship. Visitors can explore a wide line up crafts such as Sabai grass weaving, papier mache from Kashmir, neem wood work, lacquer toys, seashell work, dhokra, Sholapith and much more will be on display.

Dastkar is a national NGO established in 1981, with the focus on uplifting traditional Indian craftspeople and crafts.

For those looking for folk art there is Pichwai, Kalighat, Pattachitra and Madhubani. Miniature Gond and Sanjhi art also available. Textile enthusiasts can choose from handwoven linen, tussar silk saris and yardage, Kantha and Chikankari embroidered saris, Lambani work, batik, bandhani and more. Also look out for a range of Kalamkari hand painted saris.

A series of artisan-led demonstrations, including glass bangle making, carpet weaving, and Sholapith work, will be held at the venue. These sessions provide visitors with a opportunity to delve into traditional Indian crafts and engage directly with the artisans.

Cultural performances that are planned includes the Chhau dance by artists from Jharkhand. Visitors can also enjoy live food counters offering snacks from various regions of India.
