Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has extended its partnership with Norway’s largest financial services group, DNB Bank ASA, for another five years.

Under the renewed agreement, the Mumbai-based IT major will continue as the Norwegian bank’s strategic partner, supporting its digital modernisation drive while improving cost efficiency.

TCS will leverage next-generation technologies to enhance DNB’s modernisation efforts, including maintaining and developing new applications, strengthening security capabilities, and providing expertise in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing.

The IT giant has been a key technology partner for DNB for the past 12 years, delivering a range of digital solutions. Notably, TCS helped create and launch DNB’s peer-to-peer mobile payment platform, cementing the bank’s leadership in Norway’s competitive mobile payments sector.

“We are very pleased to extend our partnership with TCS for another five years. We have a longstanding and proven relationship, with TCS playing a key role in some of our biggest transformations and innovations over the past twelve years,” said Elin Sandnes, Group EVP of Technology & Services at DNB.

Shankar Narayanan, President of Banking & Financial Services at TCS, added, “We look forward to entering an exciting new chapter in our collaboration with DNB. Our focus remains on equipping DNB to be Norway’s most innovative bank, and we are pleased to continue supporting them through this extended partnership.”
