‘Sikander’ starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna has been under scrutiny ahead of its release on March 30, 2025. Celebrating the release, the producers shared the song ‘Zohra Jabeen’ on social media, and eyebrows were raised when many netizens started sharing videos of similar choreography, and ‘the look’ allegedly performed by an established Bangladeshi actor in 2023.

The Lack of Authenticity

While the track has been praised all over social media where many influencers have shared their performances on it, few users are doubting its authenticity. The comparison between the Bangladeshi song and ‘Zohra Jabeen’ speculated, when both the videos got visibility.
Netizens suggest that the outfits worn by both the male leads are identical with similar dance steps as well, accusing the movie makers of plagiarism.
AR Murugadoss’s film has been accused of copying the scenes from the song ‘Qurbani Qurbani’ from the film ‘Priyotoma,’ where both videos have been compared by an X user.

‘X’ Reactions

Salman Khan fans dismissed the claims, calling it false and misleading. However, other users responded by criticizing Bollywood for copying Bangladeshi film scenes. One user wrote, “Mtlb costume thoda bhut similar ho gyi toh song same ho gyi hr jagah gawarpanti kyun show krte ho bhai.” While another user wrote, “Kya din aa gaye hain Bangladeshi ko copy karna pad raha hai.” Another user satirically taunted, “Wow! Dude watches bangladeshi movies a lot huh?”

‘Zohra Jabeen’ was released two weeks ago, which is composed by Pritam, and the lyrics are written by Sameer and Danish Sabri. The singers are Nakash Aziz, and Dev Negi, while the rap is written and performed by Mellow D.
