Kim Sharma, widely recognised for her roles in ‘Mohabbatein‘ (2000) and ‘Tum Se Achcha Kaun Hai‘ (2002), has played a pivotal role in shaping the internet persona of the popular social media figure, Orry, also known as Orhan Awatramani. She has now referred to Orry as one of the most successful social experiments in recent times.
In a recent conversation with Kunickaa Sadanand on her YouTube channel, Kim Sharma shed light on the carefully curated strategy that has propelled Orry to fame. Kim revealed that maintaining an air of mystery around Orry was a deliberate move to generate intrigue. They never disclosed anything about him, and she described him as one of the most successful social experiments to have emerged in recent times.
“He is an extremely cerebral person. He is highly intelligent and focused. He also belongs to the new generation, so evolution has taken its course. He is an elevated being in an already advanced generation. He is plus plus. He and I connected very organically and decided to work together,” she explained.
While many continue to speculate about Orry’s prominence and connections, Kim clarified that he does not fit the conventional influencer mould. “He is not an influencer; he is a celebrity. He has transcended the limitations of titles. He is a person of significant influence. He commands as much attention as anyone who is making an impact,” she stated.
The ‘Mohabbatein’ star further emphasised that their focus was always on longevity rather than fleeting virality. She ensured that, through their collaboration, he did not gain overnight fame but instead built a lasting presence. A great deal of strategy was involved in shaping his career into what it is today.
Kim described her role as identifying digital talents, assessing their potential beyond social media, and strategically amplifying their presence. She jokingly clarified that her projects are not toxic.
Orry, a regular face at elite Bollywood gatherings, remains an enigma. Despite his frequent social appearances, details about his personal life remain scarce.
