Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency‘ began streaming on an OTT platform on March 14, 2025, expanding its reach two months after hitting theaters. As viewers continue to share their reactions, the actress attended a Parliament session where she received praise from an opposition member for her performance. She shared a heartfelt, handwritten note from the individual, which left her beaming with joy.

The note, received from someone in the opposition, praised her performance in ‘Emergency,’ stating, “Hey, saw Emergency yesterday you are tooooo good! Love.” Kangana expressed her gratitude for the kind words, writing, “A little note of appreciation from the other side quietly came to me…. and made me smile warmly #emergency #parliamentday.”
‘Emergency,’ which was released in theaters on January 17, 2025, did not fare well at the box office. However, it is now gaining attention on OTT platforms. Directed and co-produced by Kangana, the film features her as Indira Gandhi alongside Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, and Vishak Nair. Despite its theatrical struggles, the OTT release might provide a financial boost for Kangana, who had invested heavily in the project.
Earlier this month, Kangana completed filming for her upcoming thriller with R Madhavan. She shared a joyful photo with the team on social media to mark the wrap-up. This project reunites Kangana with Madhavan nearly a decade after ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns.’ The film is a pan-India psychological thriller directed by AL Vijay, which Kangana first announced in 2023.
