Alia Bhatt often expresses her affection for Indian desserts, especially moong dal halwa. On her 32nd birthday, March 15th, her sister Shaheen Bhatt surprised her with a ‘moong dal halwa cake.’ Shaheen had specifically asked pastry chef Pooja Dhingra to create this cake, and she shared a glimpse of it. Alia responded madly, saying it was the “best cake” ever.
Shaheen took to Instagram to share Le15 Patisserie’s post, which featured pictures of the moong dal halwa cake with “Happy Birthday Alia” written on it.

Sharing the picture, Shaheen wrote, “I throw insane cake requests at @poojadhingra every year and she never fails to over-deliver. This year kicked off with a request for a Moong Dal Halwa cake. Needless to say she killed. As usual. It was (fie emoji).”
Meanwhile, a patisserie’s post about Alia’s birthday cake included a caption that read, “A moong dal halwa cake request lead us to making this insanely delicious halwa + toasted hazelnut praline + crunch cake which lead to this Halwa Hazelnut chocolate! Should we do a tasting of the chocolate @shaheenb thank you for the challenge.” Alia reacted to the post, commenting “Best cake,” followed by a red heart emoji.
Just before her 32nd birthday, Alia marked the occasion with a media gathering, where she cut a cake with Ranbir Kapoor and the paparazzi. The couple then traveled to Alibaug but returned to Mumbai on March 14 after receiving the sad news of Deb Mukherjee’s passing, Ayan Mukerji’s father.
Professionally, Alia Bhatt is set to appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s historical drama ‘Love & War’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. Additionally, she will star in YRF’s action thriller ‘Alpha’ alongside Sharvari, marking her entry into the YRF Spy Universe.
