Unlike many who admire Aamir for his films like ‘Lagaan’, ‘Dangal’, or ‘3 Idiots’, Gauri has limited knowledge of Bollywood. Aamir shared, “She grew up in Bangalore, and her exposure was to different kinds of films and arts. So she doesn’t watch Hindi films. She has probably not seen much of my work, too.” Gauri confirmed that she has only watched two of his films, ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Lagaan’, and that too, years ago. Aamir believes this is a strength in their relationship, as she does not see him as a superstar but as a person. He said, “She doesn’t see me as a superstar but as a partner.”
