Renowned rapper and singer Yo Yo Honey Singh recently opened up about his major lifestyle changes while performing in Lucknow as part of his Millionaire India Tour. Addressing the crowd, he revealed that he has quit alcohol and is focusing on a healthier lifestyle.
“Aiyaashi kari toh dil khol kar kari, sharaab pi toh dil khol kar pi… lekin mere doston, behnon aur bhaiyon, maine daaru chorr di hai. Aap bhi nashe-washe chorro. Aaj kal main sirf paani pi raha hoon,” he declared, encouraging his fans to adopt healthier habits.
Honey Singh, who has been a dominant force in the Indian music industry for over a decade, also took a dig at YouTubers who comment on his career and personal life. “So many people do podcasts on YouTube these days. Mere baare main ulta seedha bolte hain. Unko yeh batao, hum yahan tabse hain jab YouTube bhi nahin tha. Yeh baal aise hi thodi na safed hue hain,” he remarked, emphasizing his long-standing presence in the industry.
Apart from discussing his personal growth, Singh expressed his desire to collaborate once again with Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh. The two previously worked together on Lak 28 Kudi Da in 2011. “We couldn’t work together post that. I request you all to make videos and tag Diljit bhai so that he and I could collaborate,” he urged his fans.
The Desi Kalakaar hitmaker also shared a heartwarming moment with a fan who gifted him a painting of his childhood photo with his father. Thanking the artist, he said, “Mere hero ki photo hai yeh, jinse maine ek hi cheez sikhi hai ki itni mehnat karo to puri duniya majoor ho jaye. Isko main apne ghar par rakhoonga.”
During his electrifying performance, Honey Singh paid tribute to his mentor, the legendary musician AR Rahman. Singing Premika Ne Pyaar Se from Jhankar (1994), he honored the Oscar-winning composer, whose photo was displayed on the stage backdrop. “This is my tribute to Rahman sir. Woh mere ustad hain. Ustad ji got India an Oscar aur main Grammy lekar aaunga. Hum phirse kamaal karenge,” he said, expressing his ambition to bring home a Grammy Award.
