As part of his compensation package, Fernandez will also be eligible for an annual bonus and Performance Share Plan awards, in accordance with Unilever’s existing remuneration policy. Full details will be disclosed in the company’s Remuneration Report.
Unilever announced on Tuesday that CEO and Board Director Hein Schumacher will step down from his role on March 1 and officially leave the company on May 31, 2025.
Schumacher will continue receiving his current fixed salary of €1.85 million until his departure. He will also receive a payment in lieu of the remainder of his notice period and will be classified as a “good leaver,” ensuring continued benefits from his outstanding incentives under Unilever’s Remuneration Policy.
The company added that it has launched an internal and external search for a permanent CFO. In the interim, Deputy CFO and Group Controller Srinivas Phatak will serve as acting CFO starting March 1, 2025.
