Domestic sales stood at 77,232 units, reflecting a 9% decrease compared to 84,834 units in the corresponding month last year, the company stated in a regulatory filing.
Passenger vehicle (PV) sales, including electric vehicles (EVs), dropped 9% to 46,811 units from 51,321 units in February 2024. EV sales across both domestic and international markets declined by 23%, with 5,343 units sold compared to 6,923 units a year earlier.
Commercial vehicle (CV) sales fell 7% to 32,533 units from 35,085 units in February 2024. Domestic CV sales declined by 8% to 30,797 units, while international business CV sales increased by 14%, reaching 1,736 units.
Medium and heavy commercial vehicle (MH&ICV) sales, including trucks and buses, stood at 15,940 units in the domestic market, slightly down from 16,227 units in February 2024. Total MH&ICV sales, encompassing international business, rose to 16,693 units from 16,663 units in the same period last year.
Within the CV segment, intermediate and light commercial vehicle (ILMCV) sales increased by 11% to 5,652 units, while small commercial vehicles (SCV) and pickups recorded a 20% decline, selling 10,898 units. Passenger carrier sales fell by 7% to 4,355 units.
