As the controversy surrounding Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina continues, comedy fans were reminded of Tanmay Bhat and Rohan Joshi’s past legal troubles over their viral roast video. Some expected them to voice support for Ranveer and Samay amid the India’s Got Latent row.
In a recent video, Tanmay addressed a fan’s comment asking why he wasn’t “taking a stand” for Ranveer and Samay. Reading the comment aloud, he said, “How come these people are not taking a stand for everything that’s happening?” Rohan Joshi, also present in the video, responded, “We are literally here doing our job. What more stand do you need?”
Comedian Kaustubh humorously pointed out, “Aapko bol rahe hain. Aap the uske (Samay) godfather…” to which Piyush Sharma added, “They are expecting ki Tanmay bolega ki ‘Bete se pehle baap ke through jaana hoga.’” The exchange left the panel in splits.
Tanmay later offered a witty analogy, saying, “Whenever someone in your family falls sick with a rare illness, you remember an uncle who had the same condition seven years ago and call him to ask about it. I am comedy’s patient zero.”
The video also featured Tanmay reacting to a clip of Ranveer having fun on Samay Raina’s show, commenting, “Kitna khush tha yaar uss din,” before the panel humorously roasted the clip.
Previously, Tanmay revealed in another video that he had invited Ranveer to join him for a fitness meme reaction video before the controversy erupted. However, since then, Ranveer has gone silent and hasn’t responded to his messages. Joking about the situation, Tanmay said, “Sun na, aake fitness memes pe react karte hai. Reply nahin kar raha hai ajkal. Pata nahi kya chal raha hai uske saath,” leaving everyone on the panel in splits.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Allahbadia was questioned by Maharashtra Cyber officials on Monday for nearly two hours regarding the controversial parental sex joke he made on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent show. According to NDTV, Allahbadia admitted his mistake during questioning and stated that he participated in the show because of his friendship with Samay Raina.
