Sunita Ahuja and Govinda are rumoured to get divorced. Several reports suggested that the couple is heading for a divorce. When ETimes contacted Govinda, he said, “There are only business talks going…..I am in the process of starting my films.” Meanwhile, Sunita has not responded to our messages. Govinda’s manager told ETimes, “There have been issues between the couple due to certain statements made by certain members from the family. There is nothing more to it and Govinda is in process of starting a film for which artists are visiting our office. We are trying to resolve it.”
Amidst these rumours, Sunita’s statement on extra-marital affairs has now gone viral. When asked if she feels insecure in her marriage with a superstar and if she’s scared about him cheating, here’s what Sunita had said. “Haath jod ke public mein bolti hoon, ladkio ko aur biwio ko—zindagi mein apne boyfriend aur husband ko yeh mat bolna, ‘Mera boyfriend yaa mera pati kuch karta nahi.’ Karega na toh itni buri tarah, sorry for my language, itna buri tarah hugta hai, itni buri jagah hugega na, nikalte-nikalte 2 saal lag jaayenge, lekin vo saali nikalegi nahi. Ap life se nikal jaoge, lekin nikalti nahi hai vo item. (Never tell your boyfriend or husband that he does nothing outside. Because if he will go and have an affair, it will be so bad to get rid of that other woman. You might leave his life, but she might not just leave your life).”
Sunita had also revealed in an interview that she and her children live separately. They live in an apartment while Govinda stays in his bungalow just across the street. As she spoke about living separately, she was asked about it when she visited Shirdi. She told the paps, “Kisi ki majaal hai joh mujhe Govinda se alag karke dikhaaye. Nobody can separate us. I have a lot of fun with him. There are people who want to break homes more than outsiders. I won’t let anyone break homes. I will win because Baba is with me.”
