
Biocon | Biotechnology firm said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Biocon Pharma Ltd, has received final approvals from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its abbreviated new drug applications (ANDAs). Lenalidomide capsules, in 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg and 25 mg strengths. Lenalidomide is a medication used to treat types of multiple myeloma, mantle cell lymphoma, follicular lymphoma, marginal zone lymphoma, and anemia in myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) in adults.

Adani Wilmar | FMCG firm Adani Wilmar Ltd on Tuesday (March 4) said it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire GD Foods Manufacturing (India) Private Ltd in a phased manner. The acquisition will be executed in multiple tranches, with AWL acquiring 80% of GD Foods shares in the first tranche and the remaining 20% over the next three years.

Ola Electric Mobility | The company said its wholly-owned subsidiary has received a letter from IFCI for missing out on targets specified under the Production Linked Incentive Advanced Chemistry Cell scheme (PLI ACC). “We would like to inform you that we are in receipt of a letter from IFCI Ltd for non-achievement of Milestone -1 as per schedule M of the Programme Agreement dated July 28, 2022,” Ola Electric said in a regulatory filing.

GE Vernova | The company said it has received three orders worth approximately ₹500 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd for the supply and installation of 765kV class transformers and reactors under bulk procurement. “We would like to inform you that GE Vernova T&D India Limited (‘the Company’) has received an order from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited,” GE Vernova T&D India said in a regulatory filing.

Power Grid | State-owned company said it has been declared the successful bidder for three inter-state transmission system projects under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process. The projects will be developed under the build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) model. POWERGRID received the letter of intent (LoI) for these projects on March 3, 2025.

Grasim Industries | Aditya Birla Group’s flagship company said it has commenced commercial production at its Birla Opus Paints plant in Mahad, Maharashtra, effective today, March 4. The facility has an installed capacity of 180 million litres per annum (MLPA) for water-based paint, 20 MLPA for distemper, and 30 MLPA for solvent-based paint.

Apollo Hospitals | The company said it plans to set up a comprehensive oncology centre featuring India’s first Proteus One proton system by investing ₹250 crore over the next three years. The new facility will be located in Hyderabad and is expected to be operational by FY2028. The project aims to expand Apollo’s existing proton therapy capacity, which currently treats over 500 patients annually at its Chennai centre, designed for 850 patients.

Walchandnagar Industries | Pune-based company said it has approved the acquisition of a 60.3% stake in Aicitta Intelligent Technology Private Ltd, a defence R&D startup specialising in unmanned systems. The investment, totalling up to ₹16 crore, will be made through a combination of equity shares and compulsorily convertible preference shares.

ABB | Electrification and automation major said ABB Motion has made a strategic investment in AI startup UptimeAI to optimise the health and performance of industrial motors, drives, and related assets. The investment, made through ABB Motion Ventures, involves ABB taking a minority stake in UptimeAI. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Coforge | IT solutions company said it has signed a $1.56 billion, multi-year agreement with Sabre Corporation, a leading global travel technology company, to strengthen their long-standing partnership and accelerate Sabre’s product roadmap. Under this 13-year contract, Coforge will play a key role in enhancing product delivery and developing AI-enabled solutions, reinforcing Sabre’s commitment to innovation, speed, and scale.

Welspun Specialty Solutions | The company said it has emerged as the L1 bidder for a supply contract from Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), Trichy, for 4,050 tonne of stainless steel seamless boiler tubes for a series of supercritical thermal power projects.

RVNL | The state-run railway and construction company announced it has received an order worth ₹730 crore from Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board. The order is for the development of distribution infrastructure in the central zone of Himachal Pradesh under the Revamped Reforms-based and Results-linked Distribution Sector Scheme. The project is to be completed within 24 months, as stated in an exchange filing.

Dr Reddy’s | The company has entered into an agreement with Ahmedabad-based Senores Pharmaceuticals Ltd to sell a portfolio of 14 Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDAs) for an undisclosed amount, Senores Pharma said in a press release on Tuesday. The acquired portfolio consists of 13 ANDAs already approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and one pending approval. According to Senores, the total addressable market for these ANDAs in the US is estimated between $421 million and $1.13 billion.

JSW Energy | The company said it has received approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) for the acquisition of KSK Mahanadi Power Company Limited for nearly ₹16,000 crore. This approval comes after the Resolution Plan submitted by JSW Energy was approved by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in Hyderabad.
