Veteran actor and television host Shekhar Suman, who recently confirmed the return of his popular talk show ‘Movers N Shakers‘, has addressed the possibility of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut making an appearance on the show. Shekhar further pointed out that even Kangana and lyricist Javed Akhtar have resolved their past differences. He emphasised that there is no lingering resentment between them and highlighted how time allows people to reconcile and rebuild friendships.
Now, in an interview with Instant Bollywood, Shekhar reflected on the nature of relationships in the entertainment industry. He shared that there is no permanent enmity or friendship in life, as everything depends on circumstances.
He explained that individuals can be perceived differently depending on the situation and that time often shifts perspectives. He believes that youthful emotions cause heated moments between individuals, but as they grow older, wisdom develops along with a deeper understanding. When they look back, it feels as though those fights were not worth it.
While addressing a question about the possibility of inviting Kangana to his chat show, he said, “Kyun nahi dekhenge? Kangana ne kya gunaah kiya hai? Ab Kangana aur Javed Akhtar ke beech sulah ho gayi na? Yaha koi permanent enmity aur dushmani aur dosti nahi hai. Yaha saara jo kuchh hai wo paristithiyaan hai.” (Why not? What crime has Kangana committed? Now Kangana and Javed Akhtar have made peace, right? There is no permanent enmity or friendship here. Everything depends on the circumstances.)
Shekhar further remarked that people often enjoy watching disputes unfold, turning them into spectacles. However, he believes that individuals should focus on fostering a positive and happy environment around them. Reflecting on his past tensions with Kangana, he said, “Dushmani kuch nahi, wo ek aisi paristithi thi jismein aisa ho gaya. Ab haath badhaake hum fir se dost hain. Fir se ek dusre ko usi tarah se jaante hain jaisa hum pehle jaante the.” (It wasn’t enmity; it was just a situation that unfolded that way. Now, we have extended our hands and are friends again. We understand each other just as we did before.)
Kangana was in a relationship with Shekhar Suman’s son, Adhyayan Suman, during the making of ‘Raaz – The Mystery Continues’ (2009). However, their relationship ended on a sour note, leading to Shekhar making controversial remarks about Kangana at the time.
