Saba Azad and Saqib Saleem will be seen next in ‘Crime Beat‘ next. The duo play journalists in the upcoming series. During a chat with ETimes, Saqib and Saba opened up on their re-union after 14 years. They were seen together in ‘Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’ and since then have come a long way. While they also reflected on each other’s journey, Saqib and Saba spoke more about ‘Crime Beat’. They also gave their insights on social media, in general and having a moral compass. Interestingly, this is in the midst of the entire Ranveer Allahbadia controversy where the influencer faced a lot of backlash for his remark about ‘parental sex’.
Without taking names though, Saba in general expressed her opinion on having a moral compass on social media and being responsible. The actress said, “So, I can’t say much about social media, because I hardly post once in a month. But what you said about having your own internal compass, it’s very important. As you have an audience, you should be responsible about what you put out there. Speak responsibly. Having said that, self-censorship can be stifling also, fear mongering. Perhaps, holding on to a freedom of speech, speaking up for what’s right and maintaining a basic moral compass.”
Saba is often seen expressing her views on social media quite honestly. Recently she had also opened up on how people think she doesn’t need to work anymore because of who she’s dating. She said this as the number of voice-over offers she was getting had reduced ever since she was dating Hrithik Roshan.
Meanwhile, she was last seen in ‘Who’s Your Gynaec’. Saqib and Saba’s ‘Crime Beat’ is set to begin streaming on Zee 5 from March 7 onwards.
