NPCI confirmed these changes in a circular dated February 25, 2025.
New features of RuPay Debit Select card
NPCI has added several perks for RuPay Debit Select cardholders:
Airport lounge access: One complimentary domestic lounge visit per quarter and two international lounge visits per year at select lounges.
Insurance cover:
Personal accident insurance of up to ₹10 lakh for accidental death or permanent total disability. To claim eligibility, cardholders must make at least one RuPay transaction within 30 days before the accident.
Gym membership: One free gym membership per quarter. Users can choose between 90 days of home workouts or 30 days of offline sessions.
Health check-up and golf benefits: One free health check-up package per quarter. Golf lovers can get one complimentary golf lesson or round every quarter.
Spa, salon and cab coupons: One free spa session or salon service each quarter. Cardholders also get a ₹100 cab service coupon every quarter.
OTT subscription: A free 12-month subscription to Amazon Prime, Hotstar, or Sony Liv every year.
Annual fee and payment
The annual fee for the RuPay Select Debit Card is ₹250. Banks collect this fee quarterly based on the number of active cards reported.
