After the success of the Star Wars-inspired sci-fi film ‘Kalki 2898 AD, ’ Prabhas is all set to change his game by headlining his first horror-comedy film ‘The Raja Saab. ’ Reportedly, the movie’s release has now hit a roadblock.
Earlier, there were rumors that ‘The Raja Saab’ will not be released on April 10 as planned, and now Hindustan Times reports that the rumors hold some truth in it. Reportedly, the delay is because ‘The Raja Saab’ VFX works are heavy, and the director Maruthi wants to execute it flawlessly. Although the makers have not yet finalized the release date, the reports say that there are some good spots in this year, which is perfect for the release of the Prabhas starrer. Prabhas is also working on his next film with Hanu Raghavapudi, which is reportedly titled ‘Fauji’.
According to the sources, the new release date of Maruthi’s directorial will be announced only after the post-production works are completed in the way the makers want. With these new reports, the rumors of Prabhas’s ankle injury causing the film’s release delay can be put to rest.
‘The Raja Saab’ has also previously hit several roadblocks during its production phase. In December, the makers issued a statement saying that almost 80 percent of the shoot was completed and that the post-production works were going in full swing.
With these continuous delays, to keep up the hype of the Prabhas starrer, the fans are expecting the team to unveil a teaser or trailer cut for this horror-comedy movie along with an official announcement of the release date. With Thaman S composing the music for the movie, ‘The Raja Saab’ also features the actors Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, Prabhas’ previous outing ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ marked the comeback of Prabhas who has been having several underwhelming films recently.
