“…we wish to inform you that consequent upon successful commissioning, second & last part capacity of 50 MW out of 105 MW Shajapur Solar Project (Unit-1) of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited at Shajapur Solar Park, MP, is declared on Commercial Operation w.e.f. 00:00 Hrs of 13.03.2025,” NTPC Green Energy said in a regulatory filing.
The last 50 MW capacity has been commissioned and commenced commercial operations from 00:00 hours on March 13, 2025. The first phase of 55 MW was put into commercial operation on November 29, 2024.

For the third quarter, NTPC Green Energy’s net profit jumped 52.3% to ₹89.4 crore for the quarter, compared to ₹58.7 crore in the same quarter of the last fiscal year. The renewable energy firm’s revenue for the quarter grew by 4.1%, totaling ₹460.9 crore, up from ₹442.6 crore in Q3 FY24.
NTPC Green Energy’s EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) declined by 2.3%, coming in at ₹384.6 crore, down from ₹393.6 crore in the previous year. The company’s EBITDA margin, however, slipped to 83.5% from 88.9% in Q3 FY24.
Shares of NTPC Green Energy Ltd ended at ₹97.50, up by ₹1.84, or 1.92%, on the BSE.
