Gunjan Jain, President of the Nuts & Dry Food Council of India, highlighted the importance of this event, saying, “It has become the international event for nuts and dried fruit, and the response has been phenomenal.”
He noted that countries like the US, Chile, and Argentina have sent large delegations to participate. The event also featured the launch of Turkish dried fruit and a major press conference on the health benefits of pistachios, led by an Indian doctor.
India is one of the world’s largest consumers of almonds, cashews, and dates. Demand for these products is especially high during winter and wedding season, making this event crucial for industry players.
