Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet Singh’s ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi,’ was greeted with mixed reviews. The film’s comedy worked for several cine-goers, while others seemed unimpressed. Further, if we talk about the box office performance of the movie, then from the opening day it failed to attract footfall. The movie is about to complete its first week run at the box office and it to date is struggling to leave an impact.
According to Sacnilk, despite the Maha Shivratri holiday, on day 6 the film minted only ₹0.57 crore, leading the total collection to Rs.6.2 crore.
Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the movie opened with ₹1.5 crore. The numbers were lower than what several trade experts predicted; they made the movie the second-worst opener of 2025 so far, after Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s Loveyapa ( ₹1.15 crore).
However, day 2 saw a little growth. With a rise of around 13 percent, the movie minted Rs.1.7 Cr on day 2, i.e. its first Saturday. Thereafter, from day 3, the movie only saw a decline in the business. Day 3 recorded a business of Rs. 1.25 crore, which was a dip of more than 26 percent from its previous day’s collection. Then, on Day 4, the movie fell more than 50 percent and made Rs.0.6 crore. Further, the movie made Rs.0.58 on day 5, and only Rs 0.57 crore on day 6.
Let’s now talk about the occupancy rate. The overall occupancy rate on Wednesday was 12.59 percent which was divided as:
Morning Shows: 5.29%
Afternoon Shows: 14.67%
Evening Shows: 15.55%
Night Shows: 14.84%
Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s ‘Chhaava’ continues with their reign at the box office. The movie is about to finish its second week run at the box office and it is close to crossing the Rs.400 crore mark in net collection in India.
