The media described the meeting as ‘disastrous’ and ‘vile,’ highlighting the intense confrontation between Trump, Vance and Zelenskyy.

The Washington Post reported that ‘Contentious Trump-Zelensky meeting threatens US support for Ukraine.’ It further mentioned that Trump slammed Zelensky in the Oval Office on Friday, demanding respect and thanks from the wartime leader in a fiery exchange that might decide if Europe’s future is war or peace.
The Guardian has led with a scathing report on the meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy, characterising it as ‘disastrous’. Trump warned the Ukrainian president that he was “gambling with World War III” and told him to come back “when he is ready for peace”, the outlet added.

The Sun’s front page is certainly making waves with its headline ‘The Fight House’ along with the image of Trump wagging his finger at Zelenskyy. As per the British publication, Trump’s raging words, gave ‘the hero leader’ a humiliating Oval Office dressing down.
The Independent wrote, “Trump and Vance set up Zelensky for Oval Office ambush.” It mentioned that Trump had set a trap, adding, “Zelensky walked into an ambush.”
RT, Russian state-controlled international news network, said that the meeting which was supposed to be a formal signing of a minerals’ agreement, quickly turned into a ‘shouting match and bitter recriminations’. “Zelensky leaves White House early after spat with Trump: As it happened,” read the headline.
Xinhua News Agency called the meeting a ‘shouting match’ and quoted Trump’s remark, “You’re gambling with the lives of millions of people. You’re gambling with World War III.” The agency further mentioned that the press conference at the White House planned to sign the US-Ukraine minerals deal was cancelled.
