Kichcha Sudeep’s daughter, Saanvi Sudeep, has grown up around celebrities, but she’s always had her own movie-star crushes. In a recent interview, she revealed that she has adored Sidharth Malhotra since watching him in Student of the Year (2012).
Saanvi confessed she was heartbroken when Sidharth married Kiara Advani in 2023, even crying over it. Her friends, aware of her deep admiration, even sent her condolence messages on his wedding day!
In a conversation on Jinal Modi’s YouTube channel, Saanvi Sudeep revealed that besides Allu Arjun, her longest-running celebrity crush was Sidharth Malhotra. She admitted to being smitten with him ever since she first saw him on screen. When Sidharth married Kiara Advani, Saanvi was so emotional that she even shared a meme referencing Channa Mereya on her social media.Before Sidharth Malhotra’s wedding, Saanvi Sudeep was an ardent fan, frequently sharing his posters on her Instagram stories and saving them in her ‘Highlights’ section. At one point, she had around 700 stories dedicated to him. However, after his marriage, she deleted them all, feeling slightly embarrassed about keeping them on her profile.
Saanvi Sudeep admitted that if she ever becomes an actor, it might be awkward for Sidharth Malhotra to see her social media filled with his pictures. The thought of him coming across her profile made her reconsider, leading her to delete everything—though she joked that she shed a few tears while doing so.
When asked if watching Sidharth Malhotra’s wedding video felt like the “saddest movie of her life,” Saanvi admitted it did. She even avoided watching it after receiving messages from friends jokingly offering condolences. Looking back, she found the whole situation quite embarrassing.
Back in 2016, director SS Rajamouli also shared his daughter’s admiration for Sidharth Malhotra. He even took to X (formerly Twitter) to thank the actor for meeting her. In response, Sidharth appreciated her composure and maturity, leaving a lasting impression.
