Reports surfaced earlier today suggesting that veteran actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja are heading for a divorce after 37 years of marriage. According to unverified sources, disagreements and differing lifestyles have led to frequent arguments, affecting their relationship. Reports even suggested that this ‘trouble in paradise’ might soon culminate in an official split.
However, the Ahuja family has not responded to the reports yet. But Kashmera Shah, comedian Krushna Abhishek’s wife, dismissed these claims while speaking to News18. “I don’t know anything about their life. But personally, I think it’s a horrible rumour,” she said, rubbishing all speculation surrounding the couple’s relationship.
While Sunita and their daughter Tina Ahuja were unavailable for comments, Govinda’s niece Arti Singh also dismissed the reports as “baseless gossip.” She stated, “I am honestly not in Mumbai right now, so I haven’t got in touch with anybody. But let me tell you something, this is false news. These are just speculations because their bond is so strong. They have built a strong and loving relationship over the years, so how can they get divorced?”
Adding further, Arti questioned the origin of such rumours. “I don’t know where people get all such rumours from, completely untrue. People should refrain from spreading misinformation about their personal lives. In fact, news about my divorce had also broken out for no reason. Such baseless gossip only creates unnecessary stress,” she said.
Krushna Abhishek, the nephew of Govinda, also rubbished the reports. Speaking to Hindustan Times, he firmly stated, “This is not possible. They won’t divorce.”
Meanwhile, amid these ongoing speculations, a source close to the family informed ETimes that Sunita had sent a separation notice a few months ago, but no further action has been taken since then. Addressing these rumours, Govinda himself finally reacted. When contacted by ETimes, he stated, “These are only business talks going… I am in the process of starting my films.”
Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, also weighed in on the matter, adding, “There have been issues between the couple due to certain statements made by certain members from the family. There is nothing more to it, and Govinda is in the process of starting a film, for which artists are visiting our office. We are trying to resolve it.”
With conflicting reports and no official statement from the couple, the truth about Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s relationship status remains uncertain.
