Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of Bollywood’s biggest stars, known not only for her acting but also for her openness about personal experiences. She has often spoken about her pregnancies, her love for food, and the challenges of staying healthy while preparing for motherhood.
Kareena married Saif Ali Khan in 2012, and they became parents to Taimur Ali Khan in 2016 and Jehangir Ali Khan in 2021. Throughout both pregnancies, Kareena remained in the spotlight, sharing her journey and giving honest insights into motherhood. During her first pregnancy, Kareena gained a lot of weight.
She admitted to putting on around 20 kilos and in a 2019 interview with Reddif, she said, “I am generally an hypochondriac, so I used to ask my doctor 100 questions! There would be a question every day until he told me, ‘Listen, there’s nothing to ask, just relax.’ Of course, it was a first-time pregnancy and my sister (Karisma Kapoor) was just a phone call away. She would guide me.”
She further added, “My doctor would ask me to come and weigh myself because he said you are 20 kilos overweight, itna mat khao! Actually, you are not supposed to overeat during pregnancy because then you get acidity. You have to eat right. I did try to do that for six months, but after that, it was all downhill. But I enjoyed my pregnancy.”
Kareena’s body image has changed a lot over the years. From being a size zero in ‘Tashan’ to embracing her post-pregnancy weight, she has seen both extremes and now continues to be fit and fab while indulging to her food cravings.
On the work front, Kareena was last seen in ‘Singham Again’, alongside Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor.
