Justin Bieber recently shared a social media post regarding his mental health issues and how he has been dealing with his emotions.
Bieber disclosed that he was instructed in childhood to inhibit hate feelings and, as such, internalized his emotions. “I was always told growing up not to hate. But it made me feel like I couldn’t have it, and so I didn’t say anything I’ve had it,” he posted.
He went on to explain that keeping his true feelings hidden made him feel overwhelmed and unsafe, highlighting the need to recognize negative emotions before releasing them. “I think we can only let hate go by first acknowledging it there,” he continued. “How couldn’t we hate after all the pain that we’ve gone through?”
The artist’s blunt confession has drawn sympathy and support from a large number of his fans, with many taking to social media on X (formerly Twitter) to express their empathy and concern. One person commented, “Poor kid has probably been through hell,” while another posted, “I feel sorry for him.” A number of fans also expressed concern over Bieber’s state of mind, with one writing, “I pray Justin finds the strength to heal.” Others wondered if he is doing great now that he had become a father.

Bieber’s own post also comes at a time of rumors surrounding his health, which have been dismissed by his representatives. A close friend of Bieber spoke with People, explaining that the speculation had been “exhausting and pitiful,” reasserting that he was in a “great stage” of his life and was working on personal development and new music. His representative also stated that the previous year had been “extremely transformative” for the singer, commenting that he had broken up with several unfruitful relationships.
Amid those struggles, his wife, Hailey Baldwin Bieber, has remained a pillar of support. “Hailey is doing everything she can to be supportive,” an insider revealed to Us Weekly. “It might be difficult for Hailey at times, but she’s always present for him and is compassionate.” The two welcomed their son, Jack Blues Bieber, in August 2024, and Hailey has been a consistent pillar for Bieber through his personal struggles.
The pair were last seen at Disneyland, accompanied by rapper The Kid Laroi. Bieber posted a photo of himself on the Space Mountain ride, while Hailey posted shots of them both wearing Mickey and Minnie Mouse ears.
