Furthermore, knowing your EPF balance is essential for anyone thinking about taking out a loan against their EPF savings because it gives them an idea of how much money they have accessible.
To verify your EPF balance, you must have your Universal Account Number (UAN) activated with your employer. Employees engaged in the EPF plan are assigned a UAN, which serves as their unique identifying number.
Here’s how to Check your PF Balance Online With a UAN Number:
Step 1: Click on the ‘For Employees’ section under ‘Services’ at the top of the EPF portal page.
Step 2: In the ‘services’ section, select ‘Member Passbook.’
Step 3: You will be taken to a new page. Key in your password and UAN. Sign in after completing the captcha. Then visit the UAN portal if you don’t know the password. Click ‘Forgot password’ on the login screen, then adhere to the site’s instructions.
Step 4: Your Aadhaar-linked phone number will receive a six-digit OTP.
Step 5: Click ‘Verify’ after entering the OTP. The balance of your PF account will be shown on the screen.
Before using the EPFO portal to check your EPF balance, make sure the following conditions are met:
– Only after your UAN has been activated and registered on the EPFO Portal can you see your EPF balance.
– After registering on the EPFO Portal, you will have six hours to view the passbook.
– The most recent entries that the EPFO Field Offices have reconciled will be displayed in the passbook.
– Private trusts and members of exempt establishments are unable to access their EPFO balance check on the EPFO Portal.
