Amid growing speculation about the cast of ‘Race 4’, producer Ramesh Taurani has officially denied rumors of Harshvardhan Rane being part of the film.
While reports suggested that the actor had been roped in to play a negative role, Taurani dismissed the claims, stating to Hindustan Times, “No, this is fake news. He hasn’t been roped in for the role and nothing about this role has been finalized yet.”
The upcoming fourth installment of the Race franchise will mark Saif Ali Khan’s return to the action-packed series. The film, directed by Nikkhil Advani, has been in the news since Taurani confirmed Saif’s involvement in October 2024. However, no other cast members have been finalized yet. When asked for further updates, the producer remained tight-lipped, stating that casting decisions are still in progress.Meanwhile, the film is yet to go on floors. Addressing rumors about the production schedule, Taurani clarified that Race 4 will begin shooting at the end of the year. The franchise, known for its high-octane action and gripping narratives, started in 2008 with Race, which featured Saif and Akshaye Khanna as rival brothers caught in a web of betrayal.
As for Saif Ali Khan, he is currently shooting for another project in Pataudi, marking his return to work after the stabbing incident that took place on January 16. A source close to the actor previously revealed that while reports suggested he was filming in Delhi, he is actually in Gurugram.
On the other hand, Harshvardhan Rane continues to be in the spotlight for his 2016 film ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, which recently saw a successful re-release. Fans are now eagerly awaiting updates on the much-anticipated sequel, which has been in discussion following the film’s renewed popularity at the box office.
