The blaze erupted at approximately 10:45 am in one of the twin towers of the Salsette 27 complex, located on Babasaheb Ambedkar Road, according to a fire brigade official, PTI reported. However, no injuries or casualties have been reported as of yet.

Fire tenders were swiftly dispatched to the site, and firefighting operations commenced immediately. Personnel from various emergency services, including the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST), local police, and ambulance services, among others, were also mobilised to assist in the response efforts, the official added.
The cause of the fire has not been determined, and authorities are conducting further investigations.
Thick black smoke could be seen billowing from the affected portion of the structure, which features a partially glass-clad facade. The smoke was visible from a considerable distance, drawing attention to the incident.
