Bollywood actor Esha Deol, daughter of veteran stars Dharmendra and Hema Malini, began her career in 2002 and is now gearing up for a comeback after a 14-year hiatus. In an interview with The Quint, she recalled being linked to several of her co-stars, including Ajay Devgn, during her early days and explained the reasons behind those rumors.
Reflecting on early career rumours, Esha Deol mentioned she was often linked with many co-stars, saying, “Some may be true, but many were not. They were even trying to link me up with Ajay Devgn. I share a very beautiful and different bond with Ajay. It is filled with respect, love, and admiration for each other. That was so weird.”
She added that the rumours likely stemmed from the fact that she and her co-stars were working on many films together at the time.
Ajay and Esha have worked together in several films, including ‘Yuva’, ‘Main Aisa Hi Hoon’, ‘Kaal’, ‘Insan’, and ‘Cash’. They even reunited in 2022 for a web series titled Rudra: The Edge of Darkness. The psychological crime thriller also stars Rashii Khanna, Atul Kulkarni, and Ashish Vidyarthi, and is available on Disney+ Hotstar.
Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the film is loosely based on the life of Dr. Ajay Murdia, founder of Indira IVF, a nationwide chain of fertility clinics. It features Adah Sharma, Anupam Kher, Ishwak Singh, and Esha Deol in the lead roles and is set to hit theatres on March 21.
