In an earlier interview, Sunita revealed that during Govinda’s peak career years, he was so busy with back-to-back films that he had no time for distractions. However, with Govinda now over 60 and no longer working, she admitted feeling insecure about the possibility of him getting involved in an affair.
Speaking about her concerns, Sunita shared in an interview with Hindustan Times, “Earlier, he was constantly busy, so there was no time for anything else. But now, I feel insecure. After 60, people tend to go senile.” She also recalled how she had to endure rumors of his link-ups during his acting career but chose to ignore them because she knew his work commitments kept him occupied.
Sunita further revealed that Govinda has been out of work for the past two years. While she previously managed his career, she has now decided to focus on herself. She is exploring opportunities in television, particularly judging a comedy show. She and their daughter, Tina, are also working on a podcast. “I want to carve a career path for myself. I feel alone, so I want to stay busy,” she said.
Additionally, Sunita shared some strong advice for women, urging them not to depend too much on men or even their children. “Men are like chameleons; they change colors. Don’t trust them blindly. And once children grow up and have their own lives, women should focus on themselves and their well-being.”
She also revealed that she and Govinda do not always live together, with the actor often staying at their bungalow due to his love for late-night gatherings. “We have two houses—one is a bungalow opposite our apartment. I have my temple and my kids in the flat. He loves talking, so he gathers people and sits chatting with them,” she explained.
