“…we are pleased to inform you that today, i.e. on March 15, 2025, Dalmia Cement (North East) Limited, a material subsidiary of the Company, has successfully commenced commercial production of its 2.4 MTPA Increased Cement Grinding Capacity at Lanka, Distt. Hojai, Assam,” Dalmia Bharat said in a regulatory filing.
With this expansion, Dalmia Bharat Group’s total cement manufacturing capacity has increased to 49 MTPA from the previous 46.6 MTPA. The company’s capacity utilisation stands at 60% on a pro-rata basis.

“With the commencement of commercial production of this 2.4 MTPA Increased Cement Grinding Capacity at Lanka, Distt. Hojai, Assam, the total cement manufacturing capacity of the Group stands increased to 49 MTPA,” it said.
The project, which required an investment of ₹696 crore, has been financed through a mix of equity, debt, and internal accruals. The expansion aims to cater to the growing demand for cement in the northeastern region, strengthening Dalmia Bharat’s market presence in the area.
Shares of Dalmia Bharat Ltd ended at ₹1,619.20, down by ₹25.85, or 1.57%, on the BSE.
