The revision in commercial LPG rates has been implemented across major cities. In Mumbai, the price of a 19-kg cylinder has risen to ₹1,755 from ₹1,749.50. Kolkata has also seen an increase, with the rate now standing at ₹1,913 compared to ₹1,907 earlier. In Chennai, the price has been revised to ₹1,965, up from ₹1,959.50.
Domestic LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged
In contrast, the prices of domestic LPG cylinders remain unchanged. A 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder continues to be priced at ₹803 in Delhi, ₹802.50 in Mumbai, ₹829 in Kolkata, and ₹818.50 in Chennai. Domestic LPG prices have not been revised since August 2024.
This minor increase follows a price reduction in February 2025, when oil marketing companies had lowered the cost of a 19-kg commercial cylinder by ₹7. Fluctuations in LPG prices are influenced by factors such as international crude oil rates, freight charges, and currency exchange rates, which play a key role in determining the final retail price.
Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) Prices Marginally Reduced
Alongside the LPG price revision, ATF prices have seen a slight decline. The ATF rate has been reduced by 0.23%, amounting to a decrease of ₹222 per kilolitre. With this revision, the new price of ATF in Delhi stands at ₹95,311.72 per kilolitre, down from ₹95,533.72.
This adjustment follows a significant 5.6% hike in ATF prices during the previous revision on February 1, 2025. ATF rates are revised monthly and play a critical role in determining operational costs for airlines, ultimately affecting airfares.
