Composite insurance cover Bima Vistaar inches closer to reality as insurers agree on a model
India’s insurance companies have agreed on a simple yet comprehensive and customer-friendly model for Bima Vistaar, the composite cover mooted by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). Volvo Trucks has announced the introduction of India’s first Road Train solution which is aimed at optimising efficiency in the high-volume logistics industry.Operated by logistics firm Delhivery, the Road Train was on Saturday flagged off by Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari.The Road Train concept was formally incorporated into regulations in 2020, allowing for vehicle lengths up to 25.25 meters.
