Rumours surrounding Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja’s alleged separation have been swirling online, claiming that Sunita has filed for separation and even issued a legal notice. However, the actor’s manager, Shashi Sinha, has dismissed these speculations, stating that such reports are merely attempts to attract public attention.
In an interview with IANS, Sinha clarified that no formal steps have been taken towards a separation from Govinda’s side. “Right now, the news is being spread all over the place, so we are keeping an eye on it. Yes, she has sent a legal notice to the court. I am aware of that, but there is no concrete information regarding its contents. The legal notice hasn’t yet reached us,” he said.
Sinha also pointed out that Sunita has been involved in actions that fuel public curiosity about Govinda in recent times. He stated, “You must have seen that something or the other has been coming up. This or that. Sunita ji has said something or other about Govinda ji. She said she taught him acting or dance”.
Addressing claims of the couple living separately, the manager clarified that although Govinda mostly stays at his bungalow and Sunita resides in a flat, it doesn’t indicate a strained relationship. Sinha explained that while there are personal matters between Govinda and Sunita, they handle them privately. He emphasised that Govinda is a unique individual who remains committed to his family and others, dismissing any dramatic interpretations of their situation.
He further added that the living arrangement does not amount to separation. “They don’t live separately. Govinda lives in his bungalow most of the time. Yes, he comes and goes to his house. He stays in the bungalow for a few days. He works in a political party; he is in the ministry. He is associated with the government, so it’s very natural for him to spend some time in his bungalow,” he stated.
Amid the ongoing divorce speculations, a source close to the family told ETimes, “Sunita apparently sent a separation notice a few months ago, but there has been no movement since then.” Govinda also shared that he is currently busy with the making of a film.
