The election for all 243 constituencies is scheduled to be held in October or November 2025.
Under PM-KISAN, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 every four months. The funds are directly transferred to farmers’ bank accounts.
The scheme, launched on 1 December 2018, aims to provide financial support to landholding farmers across the country.
PM Modi congratulated farmers on the scheme’s completion of six years. He stated that Rs 3.5 lakh crore has reached farmers’ accounts so far.
“This effort is giving respect, prosperity, and new strength to the food providers,” he said.
The Ministry of Agriculture confirmed that more than 110 million farmers have benefited from the scheme. The previous instalment, released on October 5, 2024, in Washim, Maharashtra, reached nearly 9.58 crore farmers.
PM-KISAN is the world’s largest direct cash transfer scheme, ensuring financial stability for farmers.
How to check eligibility?
Farmers can check their eligibility and whether they are already enrolled in the scheme by following these steps:
- Visit the official PM-KISAN website.
- Go to the beneficiary list pag
- Select your state, district, sub-district, block, and village.
- Click on ‘Get Report’ to see the beneficiary list and check if your name is included. Additionally, the beneficiary list is displayed at local Panchayats for transparency.
To check the instalment status:
- Click “Beneficiary Status” on the homepage.
- Enter Aadhaar or bank account number.
- Click “Get Data” to view details.
