Rising Childhood Obesity
Prime Minister Modi expressed deep concern over the escalating obesity rates in the country, particularly among children. He highlighted alarming statistics, noting that one in every eight individuals is affected by obesity, and cases among children have quadrupled in recent years. “One in every eight individuals is affected by obesity, and cases among children have quadrupled in recent years,” Modi said. He emphasised the severe health risks associated with excessive consumption of oil, such as heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure. The Prime Minister urged citizens to take action, asking them to reduce their monthly oil intake by 10%.
ISRO’s 100th Rocket Launch
Shifting to India’s space achievements, Modi celebrated the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for achieving its 100th rocket launch. He described this accomplishment as a monumental step in India’s pursuit of excellence in space science. “Last month, the country witnessed ISRO’s 100th rocket launch. This is not just a number, but a testament to our resolve to achieve new heights in space science,” he stated. He went on to highlight some of the organisation’s key achievements, such as the successful Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan missions, as well as India’s record-setting launch of 104 satellites in a single mission. “Over the past decade, India has launched approximately 460 satellites, including many for other nations,” he noted. Modi also celebrated the increasing participation of women in India’s space sector, calling it a proud moment for the nation. “I am very happy to see that the space sector has become a favourite among our youth. Just a few years ago, who would have thought that the number of space startups and private sector companies would reach the hundreds?”
Special Women’s Day Initiative:
Modi also revealed a unique initiative to honour women on International Women’s Day. “This time on Women’s Day, I am going to take an initiative which will be dedicated to our women power. On this special occasion, I am going to hand over my social media accounts like X, Instagram to some inspiring women of the country for a day,” he shared on the show.

Preparations for Mahakumbh Mela 2025:
Looking forward, Prime Minister Modi spoke about the preparations for the upcoming Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, which will take place from January 13 to February 26, 2025. He referred to the event as a “Mahakumbh of unity,” highlighting its importance in bringing people together, regardless of their backgrounds. For the first time, advanced technology will be integrated into the event, including an AI-powered chatbot available in 11 languages to provide pilgrims with information. Modi mentioned that digital navigation systems would assist pilgrims in locating various ghats, temples, and akharas. Additionally, AI-powered cameras would be deployed to enhance safety and help locate missing persons. “This is an opportunity for us to resolve to eliminate feelings of division and hatred in society,” Modi urged, encouraging participants to embrace unity during the event.
Encouraging Participation in Elections:
The Prime Minister also focused on the importance of active participation in the democratic process. He commended the Election Commission for its unwavering commitment to conducting free and fair elections. Modi called on citizens to exercise their right to vote, emphasising that this would strengthen the nation’s democratic fabric.
