“What BCCI has done is an immeasurable service to this country by taking up this initiative. I am confident and hopeful, speaking on behalf of patients and physicians working to help those with end-stage organ disease, that it will lead to better lives,” Dr. Attawar told The Bharat Army podcast.
India and England cricketers took to the field wearing green armbands during the final ODI of the recently concluded bilateral series at the Narendra Modi Stadium, supporting the BCCI’s “Donate Organs, Save Lives” campaign. The initiative is spearheaded by ICC Chairman and former BCCI Secretary Mr. Jay Shah.
“It is important for us as a society to not just tackle these stigmas and eliminate some of these misconceptions. It has to be a social movement where almost all of us who know more about this take greater interest and spread the word,” Dr. Attawar said while lauding BCCI’s efforts.
