Ayesha Jhulka recalled how Salman Khan saved her life while shooting Kurbaan in the 1990s when safety measures were lax. During a scene on a railway track, a train suddenly approached, and Salman quickly pulled her to safety just in time.
Ayesha told Bollywood Bubble that during the 1991 film Kurbaan shoot, there were no walkie-talkies, and communication relied on shouting or waving flags. While filming on a railway track near Igatpuri, they were assured no trains would pass. Salman Khan performed his sequence first, followed by Ayesha, as the camera was set in place.
Ayesha further recalled that the station was small with few people around, and all necessary permissions were taken. While rehearsing with loud music playing, she was suddenly pulled away with such force that it felt like her organs shifted. Salman Khan had noticed the approaching train and acted instantly, saving her life. Initially, she couldn’t process what had happened until the crew informed her. Salman, visibly shaken, was seen scolding the unit members, as he could have been in the same danger moments earlier.
Ayesha Jhulka made her Bollywood debut with Kurbaan and later starred in films like Khiladi, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, and Chachi 420. Recently, she participated in Celebrity MasterChef as a wild card contestant but was eliminated after a few weeks.
