Actor and singer Parmish Verma recently opened up about the life-altering impact of the 2018 shooting incident in which he sustained a leg injury. In a recent interview, the ‘Rocky Mental‘ actor shared how the experience reshaped his outlook and priorities.
In a conversation with India Today, Verma revealed that the incident became a turning point in his life. The ‘Gaal Ni Kadni’ singer noted that such events force individuals to pause and reassess what truly matters. “When something like that happens, you are put to a halt. You are in this void. You are by yourself, and you can’t really get out of it right away.”
He further elaborated on the emotional toll, explaining that while physical injuries may heal, the mental impact lingers. He shared that the mental and emotional toll is something he cannot fully express. “But that was a good time for me to assess my life, to recalibrate. A lot of things that I didn’t really value as much, I started valuing. There were a lot of things that I was valuing a lot, which lost their significance. The meaning of life changed for me,” he added.
Although Verma chose not to discuss the incident in detail, he acknowledged that it profoundly transformed him. He started living more, became more goal-oriented, and developed a sharper focus in a completely different way.
The gunshot attack reportedly occurred in April 2018 near his residence in Mohali in the early hours of the morning. Gangster Dilpreet Singh Dhahan later claimed responsibility for the assault.
On the work front, Verma is set to take on the lead role in the OTT series ‘Kanneda‘, directed by Chandan Arora. The show is scheduled to premiere on OTT on March 21.
