Trump was seen getting distracted by the VP’s socks in front of the media where he was hosting the Irish PM for bilateral talks.
Trump said he was trying to stay focused but was “very impressed” with Vice President Vance’s socks.

“I love these socks. What’s with these socks? I am trying to stay focused, but I am very impressed with the VP’s socks,” Trump said, as the leaders chuckled over the sudden disturbance of the thoughts.
Responding to a video shared by Fox News, now viral, VP Vance said that he knew that President Trump would comment on his socks.

Vance was wearing green shamrock-themed socks during the discussion with the US President and Irish PM.
President Trump welcomed Irish PM Martin for the St Patrick’s Day celebration at the White House on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Trump remarked that Ireland is one of those countries which are taking advantage of America.
PM Martin responded by noting the contributions of Ireland to the United States.

This was Trump’s first meeting with a foreign minister after his heated discussions with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, which witnessed a dramatic exchange of words as they had different perspectives on the Russia-Ukraine crisis. The session concluded with the Ukrainian president being asked to leave the White House.
