During the launch, TTD Chairman Naidu said that he had idea to add the South Indian delicacy to the Anna Prasadam menu since he took office. “When I proposed this idea to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, he was very supportive and immediately approved the plan. Today, we are thrilled to introduce Masala Vada as part of our prasadam offering,” he was quoted as saying.

The initiative highlights the temple’s efforts to provide devotees with nutritious, delicious, and diverse food options while upholding the sanctity of the sacred offering.
The masala vada’s key ingredients include lentils, green chilies, ginger, curry leaves, coriander, mint, and anise, which are blended to make if flavourful.

The prasadam will be served daily at the Anna Prasada Kendra from 10.30 am to 4 pm, with an estimated 35,000 vadas to be distributed daily. The TTD chairman mentioned that the number of vadas served could be increased based on demand, ensuring that every devotee who visits Tirumala can relish the prasadam.
