Expansion plans
Due to high passenger demand, the initiative is being expanded nationwide, with the Udan Yatri Cafe facility set to open at Delhi Airport soon. After its successful launch at Kolkata Airport, there is strong demand to open more branches of the affordable cafes. NowDIAL CEO Videh Kumar Jaipuriar said on Wednesday during a media interaction that they are in the process of launching the Udan Yatri Cafe at Delhi Airport to benefit passengers.
Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Ram Mohan Naidu, stated that the Udan Yatri Cafe reflects Prime Minister Modi’s vision for inclusive air travel, making the mode of transportation more accessible and affordable. Naidu regards this as one of the key initiatives for enhancing air travel. In a post earlier on X, he said that his mission since he assumed control of the department is to make air travel affordable and accessible to all Indians.
The newly inaugurated UDAN Yatri Cafe reflects the spirit of the UDAN scheme (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik), which seeks to make air travel more accessible and modernise airport infrastructure.
